How it all started..

In the year of 1969, Jesse W. and Dorothy Miller (Jess and Duane's Mother and Father) opened up Miller's Furniture just outside of Punxsutawney in the town of Hudson. They sold good furniture at good prices, and took pleasure in getting to know each and every person who walked through their doors. Miller's Furniture was built upon the slogan

"Come as a Customer, Leave as a Friend..."

Miller's Furniture was eventually turned over to their son's Jess and Duane, thus it became known as Miller Brothers Furniture. Over the years, not only did Jess and Duane continue to do business the way their parents did, but they grew into the largest furniture retailer in the area.

The way it is today.

Over the years, Miller Brothers Furniture, Inc. outgrew the Hudson location with close to 60 employees and 3 residential furniture showroom locations: Miller Brothers Furniture in Falls Creek and downtown Punxsutawney, and By The Room Furniture at the DuBois Mall. In addition to furniture, all showrooms have a Mattress Gallery available. Located within our Falls Creek "super store", we have a complete "floor to ceiling" Commercial Furniture Design Center, a "store within a store," Ebenezer's Furniture, and a brand new Miller Brothers Flooring America Showroom. As the years went on, our 3 stores out grew their own warehouse, which led to our 4th location: The Distribution Center. Centralizing all of the warehouses into one big-bad-mega Distribution Center, this allows our army of trucks to supply your furniture to your doorstep in a much faster, smoother and more efficient manner. Jess and Duane are proud to say they own the largest furniture store in the area with over 4 acres of selection and over 4 million dollars in inventory.

Community Involvement

An important part of the Miller Brothers philosophy is to give back to the communities that have supported us and our families. For the past 39 plus years, we at Miller Brothers have worked diligently to help those in need, by lending a helping hand, providing words of encouragement and support, and assisting with numerous fund raisers. We have participated in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, supported our local volunteer fire departments, and helped out the local Boy Scout Pack's fund raising spaghetti dinner, to name a few.

As parents and grandparents, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, we are all very proud of our support in advancing the youth of our communities. You may see many of us coaching and cheering on our favorite local sports team, or volunteering countless hours instructing at the Community Center, or lending a helping hand with the local Little League or other youth activities.

Like everyone, we love a parade - or a festival, fair, the carnival, and of course, Ground Hog Day! We often partner with the organizers of such events in order to help bring the fun to you!

Importantly, our faith has guided us here at Miller Brothers. We actively participate in our various places of worship, and our people serve in such capacities as a Deacon, singing in the choir, or organizing a pot luck dinner.
